Cookie policy

This policy explains how techshooked uses cookies and similar technologies, what each one does, and how you can control them. It applies to techshooked.com and should be read with our privacy policy.

The short version

We use only the cookies needed to run the site and to remember your choices. We do not use advertising, analytics, or social media tracking cookies. Some optional third-party content, such as an embedded video, can set its own cookies, but only after you choose to load it.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. First-party cookies are set by the site you are visiting; third-party cookies are set by another service whose content appears on that site. Session cookies are deleted when you close your browser, and persistent cookies stay for a set period. Websites can also keep small amounts of information in your browser's local storage, which works in a similar way. In this policy, "cookies" covers both.

Strictly necessary cookies are required for the site to work and can't be switched off in our cookie settings. You can still block or delete them in your browser.

Third-party content

  • Embedded videos (YouTube). Some articles include a YouTube video in its privacy-enhanced mode. Nothing loads from YouTube until you click the video. If you do, YouTube may set its own cookies on its own domain, as described in Google's privacy policy.
  • Contact form (Cloudflare Turnstile). Our contact form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to block spam. It runs only on that page and does not set a cookie on techshooked.com. Cloudflare may process the check on its own domain under its privacy policy.

Your choices

  • Cookie settings. Use the Cookie settings link in the footer of any page to review or change your choices at any time.
  • Your browser. Most browsers let you see, block, and delete cookies. See the help pages for Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge. If you block all cookies, the site still works, but it won't remember your choices or your display mode.

Changes to this policy

We update this page when the cookies we use change, and the date at the top shows when it was last revised. If we introduce analytics or advertising cookies in the future, we will describe them here and ask for your consent before setting them.
