Cyberpunk 2077 gets its Edgerunners 2 Update, version 2.5, on October 22, with dual-wielding for Power pistols and revolvers, new skins for hand cyberware and a mod browser built into the game menu. The patch also adds three side quests, one of them an extension of an existing quest line, and a set of graphics changes aimed at PC and console players alike.
Patch notes from CD Projekt Red are out ahead of the rollout. Cyberpunk 2077 updates on most platforms at once, while two versions wait a little longer.

The mod browser is the structural change. It runs on mod.io and works on PC, Mac, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 5 Pro, Xbox Series X|S and Switch 2, so a console owner can install a selection of player-made mods without leaving the game. The studio calls this a first step into cross-platform modding and says more mods will arrive over time. Modded saves get their own icon in the Load Game menu. On console, a modded save file can't earn achievements or trophies.
Dual-wielding in Cyberpunk 2077 comes from a new Double Trouble perk in the Cool tree, plus four supporting perks. It applies to Pistols and Revolvers from the Power category. Photo Mode adds poses for it and frames styled on the Cyberpunk Trading Card Game. Five Glamdocs, each in its own shop and marked with a spray-paint icon on the map, sell skins with customizable colors for Mantis Blades, Gorilla Arms, Monowire and the Projectile Launch System.
Two additions tie into the anime. Clampdown, a side quest set before Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2, opens after The Heist and two gigs for Wakako, then a message from her. It rewards a five-piece gear set based on the character King, and a new radio station, HKGN 102.0 FM, plays tracks from the Edgerunners series. Elsewhere, Welcome to Paradise is a guided tour of Night City narrated by Richard Night, unlocked after The Heist at Street Cred level 15. Twelve Minor Arcana tarot cards extend the Fool on the Hill quest.
On the technology side, Cyberpunk 2077 adds DLSS 4.5 with up to 6X Multi Frame Generation, MetalFX Frame Interpolation and a toggle for FSR Anti-Lag 2. Glasses-free 3D now works on compatible Samsung Odyssey 3D monitors, with a Motion Comfort setting to trade depth against viewing comfort. FSR 3 upscaling is gone, while FSR 2.1, FSR 4 and FSR 3.1 Frame Generation stay. Consoles get a field-of-view slider, and a Switch 2 bug that could stop a save with an insufficient-space error is fixed.
