Xbox Game Pass takes on nine new games between October 8 and October 16, and the busiest day is October 13, when Battlefield 6, the soulslike Valor Mortis and the survival-exploration game Deep Dish Dungeon all arrive together.
Per Xbox, the Xbox Game Pass wave opens October 8 with three titles: Echo Weaver, a time-loop metroidvania; Forever Ago, a single-player road-trip adventure built around a camera; and the roguelike platformer Neon Abyss 2. Bluey's Happy Snaps and the co-op gladiator roguelike Chained Beasts follow on October 15. The wave closes on October 16 with Beyond These Stars, a PC-only city builder set on the back of a space whale.
Battlefield 6 is the wave's marquee name, and its Xbox Game Pass listing comes with an EA angle. Xbox says EA Play members can unlock the EA Play Deployment Pack and the Season 5 EA Play Pack, while Game Pass Ultimate subscribers get EA Play included along with 10% off eligible EA digital purchases. For a shooter of this size, that bundle matters as much as the library slot.
Valor Mortis, from the team behind Ghostrunner, is a first-person soulslike that casts players as a former soldier of Napoleon's army fighting supernatural monsters. It is tagged for handheld play, as is Bluey's Happy Snaps. Within Xbox Game Pass, tier coverage is uneven: of the nine additions, only Neon Abyss 2 is listed for Game Pass Premium, while every title is listed for Ultimate and PC Game Pass.
The Xbox Game Pass library also sheds nine games on October 15, among them A Plague Tale: Requiem, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, Pacific Drive and Evil West. Xbox points subscribers to discounted purchases before they go. A subscriber midway through Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 has until October 15 to finish it or buy it.
