Helldivers 2 is getting a long-range, stealth-minded Premium Warbond on October 20, with four new weapons, a throwable, two armor sets and a passive that rewards lying still. Developer Arrowhead Game Studios says the Scope of Authority pack is built for squads that want to pick targets from the tree line instead of charging in.
The R-40 Sightliner anchors the set. It is a bolt-action sniper rifle that fires armor-piercing rounds, and Arrowhead pitches it as the balance point between stability and stopping power. The P-44 Mist, a one-handed machine pistol, is the compact backup for when enemies close the distance. For the heaviest targets there is the AMW-20 Apex, a backpack-fed anti-materiel rifle with an assisted reload that Arrowhead itself calls anything but subtle.
Two more items cover different play styles. The LAS-44 Nova extends the game's LAS energy-weapon line with unlimited ammunition, but each shot needs a short charge and delivers a precise thermal round that does not explode. Arrowhead says a new cooldown routine keeps the rifle firing longer once the fight is over. The G-11 Caltrops, thrown by hand, scatter proximity-triggered submunitions that slow and stun enemies, which buys a sniper time to line up the next shot.
Armor is where the stealth theme becomes a mechanic. The SS-33 Mimetic Marshal is a light set modeled on a ghillie suit, paired with the Mimetic Mesh cape and a matching player card. The SS-15 Focal Point is a medium set with an asymmetrical visor, and it goes with the Boundary Banner cape and player card. Both carry the Stationary Shroud passive, which cuts weapon sway and enemy detection range while a Helldiver is crouched or prone. That condition matters: the bonus applies only while crouched or prone, so players who push forward constantly will get little from it. The pack also adds the Manual Ballistic Projection emote and a title, Longshot.
Unlocking the content takes the base game, Super Credits and progression through the Warbond, according to Arrowhead's footnote. The studio does not list a Super Credit price for Scope of Authority, so the full cost of claiming every item stays unconfirmed until the Warbond opens on October 20.
