Guild Wars 2 now includes its Living World story seasons inside the game's expansions, and ArenaNet has stopped selling the seasons one at a time, the Guild Wars 2 team said. Season 2 becomes free for every player with a level 80 character, matching what Season 1 already offers.
Seasons 3 and 4 move into the Heart of Thorns and Path of Fire bundle, while Season 5, The Icebrood Saga, now ships with End of Dragons. Players who already own those expansions get any missing episodes unlocked automatically.
The Guild Wars 2 bundle lineup changes with it. The Elder Dragon Saga bundle packs Heart of Thorns, Path of Fire and End of Dragons together with seasons 3, 4 and 5. A new Astral Ward Saga bundle groups Secrets of the Obscure, Janthir Wilds and the newest expansion, Visions of Eternity. The Complete Collection covers all six expansions plus seasons 3 to 5, and ArenaNet says it unlocks every piece of paid content the game has shipped in 14 years. Expansions remain on sale individually, and each bundle skips the character slots and shared inventory slots a player already received from an expansion they own.
The practical shift is that expansions are now the only paid route to seasons 3 to 5. A player who wanted one story chapter used to buy one season; that option is gone, and the way in is an expansion or bundle that carries the chapter. For prices, ArenaNet points buyers to its web store, the in-game store, Steam and the Epic Games Store. On Steam, dynamic bundle pricing discounts a bundle automatically based on what the account already owns.
The Guild Wars 2 Starter Pack stays at its price but gains three items: a Copper-Fed Salvage-o-Matic, five Teleport to Friend devices and two Black Lion Chest Keys. Earlier buyers receive them by in-game mail.
Anyone who bought Living World content after September 12, 2026 gets a gem refund equal to its value, applied automatically, with partial refunds for the Elder Dragon Saga Complete Collection. Guild Wars 2 players who see neither the Starter Pack items nor the refund by October 15 are told to contact ArenaNet support.
