JBL's new Live 780NC and Live 680NC headphones launched in India on June 18, priced at INR 15,999 and INR 11,999 respectively, per Harman. The over-ear Live 780NC and the on-ear Live 680NC are both available for pre-booking on in.JBL.com and Amazon.in from that date, with early-buyer benefits attached to each.
The headlining upgrade on both models is JBL's True Adaptive Noise Canceling 2.0 system, which the company says delivers stronger distraction filtering than the previous generation through upgraded processing and real-time noise monitoring, according to Harman. Two beamforming microphones with an AI-trained algorithm handle call clarity. JBL Spatial Sound processing handles immersive movie and podcast playback, while PersoniFi 3.0 tailors the audio profile to each listener's hearing.
Both headphones use 40mm dynamic drivers. The Live 780NC delivers up to 80 hours of battery life with noise canceling off and 50 hours with it active, placing it in the longer-endurance bracket for over-ear headphones at this price. Multipoint connectivity lets both models stay paired to two devices at once, and a newly added customizable button joins the existing touch controls on the ear cup.
Design is a deliberate part of the pitch. JBL is targeting younger consumers, and the color lineup reflects that: Purple, Blue, Green, and Orange sit alongside Black, Beige, and White. Metallic accents and a fully foldable build complete the hardware. The company has tied the launch to a Bollywood film partnership and a campaign featuring Martin Garrix and Benson Boone under the "Stay Connected" banner.
The staggered availability is worth tracking. Pre-booking opened at launch with early-buyer benefits; confirmed general sale dates are not stated in Harman's press release, and corroborating reports suggest the Live 780NC may align with Amazon Prime Day timing while the Live 680NC ships later in July. Buyers should check current ship dates on in.JBL.com before ordering.
