Xbox Free Play Days is running Thursday, August 20 through Sunday, August 23, rotating Train Sim World 6: Standard Edition, Icarus: Console Edition, and Lynked: Banner of the Spark through Game Pass Ultimate, Premium, and Essential.
The featured trio, Xbox says, installed via the Microsoft Store or the Subscriptions tab on an Xbox One or Xbox Series X|S, with members signed in to see the offer; Game Pass Essential is the entry tier for the event. Train Sim World 6 comes from Dovetail Games, Icarus from GRIP Studios, and Lynked from Dreamhaven. Train Sim World 6 is Optimized for Xbox Series X|S with Smart Delivery and Xbox Play Anywhere, covering three routes: the Riviera Line along the Dawlish Sea Wall and Devon Banks with the GWR Class 802 and Class 150/2, Nahverkehr Dresden, and the Leipzig-Dresden line in the DB BR 411 ICE-T.
Icarus: Console Edition sends up to four players to a hostile world where they build shelter, craft weapons, hunt, and survive wildlife and extreme weather. It was discounted by 30 percent for the event, including available DLC. Lynked: Banner of the Spark fuses roguelite combat with a life sim, pitting players against robot swarms and bosses before using harvested parts to expand a home base.
Members who purchase any of the three titles during the event keep their Gamerscore and achievements, and Xbox notes that discounts vary by title and region, with availability differing similarly; the offers apply to every membership tier. Purchases also continue progress into the full versions after the weekend.
