Young Suns is a cozy, four-player life sim about rebuilding a fractured society on the moons of Jupiter, and developer KO_OP took the game out of Xbox Game Preview on August 31 with a full 1.0 launch on Xbox and PC. The release adds twelve new moonlets to explore, eight rival factions with their own storylines, and a substantially reworked character creator.
According to Xbox, the update also adds a new in-game codex called the Jovipedia for tracking the Jovian System's history, expanded ship decoration sets, and daily reactive dialog with the game's cast. Two features trace directly back to Game Preview feedback: donation boxes that let players clear inventory space while earning in-game standing, and a wider range of masculine hairstyles the community specifically asked for. Young Suns lists for $19.99, discounted to $15.99 at launch, and stays available through Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass.
Game Preview is Xbox's structured early-access track for titles still building out core systems, and leaving it typically signals a game has hit feature-complete status rather than simply shipped more content, a distinction that matters for its spot in the Game Pass catalog instead of a rotating Preview slot. KO_OP builds Young Suns' setting, a post-revolution society split across eight ideological factions rebuilding together rather than fighting each other, as a deliberate departure from the low-stakes conflict typical of the cozy-game genre, positioning it against a growing field of cooperative sims competing for space in Xbox's subscription catalog.
Players who spent time in the earlier build should note that Game Preview save data will not carry over to 1.0, a clean break KO_OP attributes to the scope of the update's overhaul.
