Xbox Game Pass is joining T-Mobile's new T-Mix wireless plans in November. Microsoft calls it the first time the subscription will be available through a wireless plan in the US, and eligible T-Mix customers will be able to spend a Pick on either Game Pass Ultimate or Game Pass Premium.
Microsoft says choosing Game Pass gives a customer a library of games playable on devices they already own, including Xbox consoles, smart TVs and PCs. T-Mix itself is new: T-Mobile announced the three plans the same day and says they become available in November, with Game Pass among the launch benefits.
T-Mix comes in three tiers, and each higher tier includes more Picks; T-Mobile says customers also receive more Picks as they add lines. These are its starting prices for one line, all with AutoPay, plus taxes and fees:
| T-Mix plan | Starting price, one line | Picks included |
|---|---|---|
| Standard | $55 a month | 1 |
| More | $75 a month | 2 |
| Loaded | $95 a month | 3 |
Picks are T-Mobile's unit for choosing benefits. Game Pass sits in a menu that T-Mobile says spans streaming, music, gaming, food delivery, sports and AI, and the carrier names Apple Music, ESPN Unlimited, Delta SkyMiles, Google Gemini, Paramount+ and YouTube Premium as other new partners. Customers can change their partner Picks four times a year, in three change windows plus an Annual Remix window, though T-Mobile says how often a benefit can be swapped depends on the benefit; wireless benefits such as T-Satellite can change at any time. Picks have no cash value, and unapplied ones do not carry over to the next quarter. Changing a partner benefit outside a window may require a fee.
T-Mobile says Pick allotments are subject to change and that it may change the number of Picks a benefit requires at any time. Bought directly in the US, Microsoft charges $22.99 a month for Game Pass Ultimate and $14.99 a month for Game Pass Premium. Ultimate covers more than 500 games, with select new games on day one; Premium covers more than 200, and select new Xbox-published games join it within a year of launch.
T-Mobile warns that customers may need to manage their existing third-party subscriptions to avoid duplicate charges. It also says T-Mix will come at a discounted price for customers 55 and older, military and veterans, first responders and college students.
