Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 and Call of Duty: Warzone move into horror territory on September 17. Season 06, subtitled The Haunting, adds new maps, limited-time modes, and a Doom crossover across both games.

Activision detailed the update in a post on PlayStation Blog, credited to the publisher's Daniel Noel. The post confirms Black Ops 7 and Warzone stay available on PS5 and PS4 alongside the new content.

The centerpiece is Quantum. The new multiplayer map is built around a Guild quantum computing facility buried in Arctic ice, with fights spilling from a frozen turbine room to a damaged tower at its center. Black Ops 7 also rethemes Homestead into Bloodstead, where the water has turned to blood, and brings back two limited-time modes: T.E.D.D. Trials, a 6v6 playlist pulling three Zombies maps into multiplayer for the first time, and Hordepoint, an undead take on Hardpoint. A new Ranked Play season arrives alongside them.

Warzone's own horror drop is Haunted Hollow, a nighttime reskin of Haven's Hollow. Drop in and you'll find a Ghost Train winding through the map, pumpkins near the shops handing out random tricks or treats, and a drained pond exposing ruins beneath the old mansion. A new Giant Infected mode turns the map into a 64-player game of tag: eight starting Infected try to spread the outbreak before the remaining Survivors can build a DNA Bomb to stop it. Warzone also picks up new Winstreak challenges and a fresh Resurgence Ranked Play season.

Black Ops 7's Zombies mode adds a new Survival map, Tenshu, set inside the Masaki family's ancestral castle. Rex Infernus gets a guided Starting Room option for players working through the main quest, and Rogue Run adds new maps and pedestal rewards, including the Pack-a-Punch IV weapon upgrade and a Golden Armor pickup. Doom crosses over for the season too, with its own Event Pass and a Tracer Pack bundle joining other Haunting-themed cosmetics in the store. The Battle Pass adds the VMP SMG and TR51 Para Assault Rifle, while the paid BlackCell tier unlocks a Revenant Operator and a Mastercraft weapon blueprint.

The post doesn't list prices for the Doom bundles or the BlackCell upgrade, which typically land alongside the rest of the season's store rotation.
