Wix introduced Wix Studio Two on November 2, a rebuilt editor that puts AI generation, a free-form design canvas and a standard React code layer in one workspace. Wix Partners get access first, with a gradual rollout to all users after that; Wix gave no date for the wider rollout. Sites already built in Wix Studio remain supported. Wix says it rewrote core parts of the editor so AI and React could operate on it, and the canvas lets users move elements freely while the agent works alongside them.
A Wix Studio Two project can leave Wix as a standard React project. The export comes with source control, branching, merging and collaboration, and a team can keep working in Claude, Codex, Cursor or any other IDE and bring the result back for visual refinement. Projects started in an AI tool can be imported the other way. An enterprise client that needs the site hosted in its own environment can have the export deployed there; otherwise Wix hosts it. Wix tags import and export as Beta.
Wix says Studio Two ships with around 60 major new features, including advanced animations, variables, site styles, automatic responsiveness and a browser-based VS Code environment. Aria 2.0, the built-in AI agent, generates and refines designs, builds custom components, writes code and business logic, and connects data. Wix rebuilt it to be flatter, so it fetches whatever capabilities a request needs and runs several actions at once. Wix says Aria 2.0 is faster, more precise and more predictable. A Skills feature saves an agency's standards and workflows once, and Aria applies them to every project.
Several announced pieces are not live yet. On its Studio Two overview, Wix marks as coming soon the site styles that set fonts, colors and text sizes as variables, the scroll, hover and entrance interaction presets, and the Ani-mate AI animation tool. The same label sits on the 30-plus Smart edits design actions and on the route that moves Wix Harmony sites into Studio Two on shared infrastructure.
At the component level, Wix says anything the editor lacks natively can be built on an external platform and imported, with no fixed component library to work within.
