Apple Home Collection puts nine LG Electronics and Schneider Electric smart home products on Apple's shelves from December: four cameras (one of them a doorbell), a deadbolt lock, two thermostats and two room sensors. The devices carry LG and Schneider Home names, but Apple co-designed them and will sell them in its own stores, a step beyond the Works with Apple Home and Matter certification that third-party makers have used for years.

According to Apple, availability starts in December, with select accessories following in early 2027. The LG Indoor Cam and both thermostats start at $199.95, the Video Doorbell at $249.95, the Outdoor Cam at $299.95, the Smart Deadbolt Lock at $349.95 and the Floodlight Cam at $399.95. The two temperature sensors start at $39.95. The four cameras are listed for the U.S., Canada and the UK, while the lock and the climate products are listed for the U.S. and Canada only.

The cameras in Apple Home Collection carry the most moving parts. Each records at up to 2.5K and, per Apple, can recognize people, familiar faces, pets, vehicles and packages, though it relies on a home hub such as HomePod, HomePod mini, Apple TV 4K or the new HomeView to do so. Footage is kept for 10 days in the buyer's iCloud+ plan, which is how Apple arrives at "no separate camera subscription." That saving applies only to people who already pay for a supported iCloud+ tier.

The lock is the most Apple-specific device in Apple Home Collection. Apple says LG's Smart Deadbolt Lock uses Ultra Wideband to sense an approaching iPhone or Apple Watch carrying a home key and opens as the owner nears the door, with a PIN pad and a hidden backup key slot as fallbacks. It is Matter compatible, supports Aliro and works locally, so basic entry still works offline. In the Home app the doorbell and lock can be paired, so one screen shows who is outside and can release the latch. LG and Schneider Home each make one thermostat; Adaptive Temperature uses on-device intelligence from iPhone to adjust heating and cooling when someone is home, winding down for the night or away.

Every Apple Home Collection device supports Thread, Apple says, so it keeps its connection when Wi-Fi fails, and the cameras keep recording to onboard storage through an outage. Apple Retail will also offer installation by ADT for an extra charge in the U.S. starting this fall. HomeView is not for sale in the European Union, where Apple says Siri AI is unavailable in iOS, and none of the markets listed for the cameras are in the EU.
