Apple HomeView, a 7-inch touchscreen smart display with a speaker base, opened for pre-order on October 13 at $299 and reaches customers on November 13.

It is built around Siri AI, the rebuilt version of the assistant. Per Apple, the tabletop HomeView and a separate wall-mounted HomeView both cost $299. The tabletop model comes in silver, starlight, rose pink and space gray; the wall-mounted one in space gray and silver. Mounts from Schneider Home are extra: the USB-C connector starts at $59.95, the AC wired mount at $79.95, and a PoE mount follows in early 2027 at $129.95. A wall-mounted setup with the cheapest mount lands near $359 before tax.

The tabletop unit tilts on a stainless steel hinge above a domed base. Apple lists automatic brightness from 500 nits down to 0.3 nits, so the screen can sit on a nightstand, and says the interface thins out when someone is across the room and adds detail as they step closer. Audio comes from two full-range drivers in the display plus a down-firing woofer and two passive radiators in the base. The wall-mounted model drops the base and relies on two drivers tuned for on-wall placement, so bass will differ between the two. Apple's materials name an A18 chip.

Face recognition is the feature that shapes the household experience. HomeView can recognize up to six people, and each gets a personal home screen. Messages and Calendar content appears only when the enrolled person is recognized and their paired iPhone or iPad is nearby and recently unlocked. Siri requests run on the device or through Private Cloud Compute, which Apple says neither stores the data nor exposes it to the company.

Siri AI splits into two tiers here. With an Apple Intelligence iPhone or iPad paired, it can draw on personal context across apps. Without one, HomeView still gets the assistant's broader world knowledge, conversation and music discovery. On the smart home side, a Home Camera face streams up to nine feeds at once, and HomeView listens for smoke and carbon monoxide alarms. People, pet and package recognition from compatible cameras requires an iCloud+ plan. HomeView also works with Apple Home Collection, the new LG Electronics and Schneider Electric camera, thermostat and lock lineup, and with Matter accessories.

Pre-orders cover Australia, Canada, India, New Zealand, the UK and the U.S. Singapore opens on October 15 at 9 a.m. SGT, and South Africa sells through authorized resellers. The European Union is left out entirely: Apple says HomeView will not be sold there because Siri AI is not available in iOS in the EU, and that it is working with the EU on a path forward. Siri AI on HomeView is English only for now, with Canadian French promised in a later update.
