PlayStation Plus Game Catalog members get Mafia: The Old Country, Horizon Forbidden West and the co-op looter shooter Mycopunk when the October lineup goes live on October 20, according to PlayStation. PlayStation Plus Premium subscribers also get Dino Crisis 2 and RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 Complete Edition on the same date. Mycopunk lands in the catalog on its release day worldwide, while Horizon Forbidden West is flagged as a PlayStation Plus re-release on PS5 and PS4.

Not everything lands on October 20. Poppy Playtime: Chapter 2, Tales of Arise Beyond the Dawn Edition and Monster Energy Supercross 25 arrive October 27 in the US, the UK and Japan. The Midnight Walk, a dark fantasy adventure built from handmade clay that also plays on PS VR2, was available October 14 in the US and UK and arrives October 15 in Japan. The PlayStation Plus October lineup reaches subscribers in three waves, which matters if a particular game is the reason to stay subscribed.

PlayStation Plus Premium members also get Game Trials for Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy and Mortal Shell II from October 20. The PlayStation Plus HorrorFest perks run alongside the catalog. A World War Z Halloween skin pack arrives October 20, and Back 4 Blood's first DLC pack, Tunnels of Terror, is free from October 21 to November 4, with 95% off the second and third packs and the Annual Pass in that window.

The one perk that depends on other players is the Dead by Daylight pack with the Buccaneer Buds charm. It unlocks for every PlayStation Plus member only if the community reaches 10 million matches between October 20 and October 26, so a short count means nobody gets it.
