Activision is bringing a licensed Terminator 2: Judgment Day crossover to Call of Duty: Mobile, arriving August 5 with dual-form T-800 and T-1000 Operator skins players can swap between mid-match. It is a rare full film-license tie-in for the mobile shooter's live-service calendar, rather than the incremental content drop most seasonal updates deliver.
The pairing centers on an It Goes Two bundle that upgrades both Terminator Operator Skins from Epic to Legendary quality once a player owns them together, according to Activision. Owning both unlocks the ability to swap between the T-800 and T-1000 forms mid-match or in the lobby, plus a kill counter watch and two Legendary weapon blueprints tied to the film: the HS0405 pump-action shotgun, nicknamed Final Judgement, and the BP50 submachine gun, nicknamed Mimetic Execution.
Xbox flagged the update on its own news page, filing it under Call of Duty: Mobile ahead of the broader August rollout. Two multiplayer modes are also joining the roster: Operator Skill Overdrive, a free-for-all party mode built around fusing pairs of Operator abilities into stronger combined effects, and Hardpoint: Mayhem, a role-based twist on the classic mode that locks each player into an Anchor, Rover, or Controller assignment for the match.
In Battle Royale, Call of Duty: Mobile adds Lockdown, an objective mode on Rebirth Island built around holding rotating scoring zones with respawns turned on, while Nuketown gets a lighting and material overhaul for a sharper, higher-fidelity look. A new Cronen Squall assault rifle anchors the free Battle Pass tiers, paired with the Overload class's Shock Stick for Battle Royale drops.
The crossover content, new modes, and map refresh go live in Call of Duty: Mobile at 5 p.m. PT on August 5 alongside the standard Battle Pass and store update.
