Tiny Roar shared a new gameplay walkthrough and confirmed Deluxe Edition details for Lou's Lagoon, its cozy island-exploration adventure arriving on PS5 August 27. The studio's community manager, Ines Neumann, posted the update on PlayStation's platform blog, walking through character and seaplane customization, home building, and the archipelago's cast of residents ahead of launch.

In Lou's Lagoon, players take on a young pilot searching the storm-battered Limbo archipelago for a missing relative, Uncle Lou. Tiny Roar's character creator covers hairstyles, skin tone, facial hair, eye color, and face markings, and the studio says new outfits unlock as players progress. The same customization extends to the player's seaplane, which earns new parts and paint jobs through aerial challenges, and to a buildable home base that can grow from a small beach shack into a sprawling seafront house.

The Deluxe Edition, launching alongside the standard release, adds an exclusive Lifeguard outfit, a bubble-engine upgrade for the seaplane, and a set of beachside decor items. Tiny Roar also detailed two of the archipelago's regions for the first time: Tanglebloom, a flower-shaped town whose shopkeepers need help rebuilding after the storm, and Boulderia, a crab-backed island home to a community of resource-mining Gorplins.

Tiny Roar is leaning on PS5-specific hardware for the release, citing the console's SSD for fast loading into Limbo, DualSense haptic feedback and adaptive triggers during crafting and resource gathering, and 4K HDR output for the archipelago's environments. Lou's Lagoon is set to launch in both Standard and Deluxe editions on August 27, with Tiny Roar promising further updates on social media before then.
