Apple Arcade Adds Pusheen's Place and Four More Games on October 1

Apple will add five games to Apple Arcade on October 1, led by Pusheen's Place, the Pusheen cat's first game, plus River City Survivors and three ad-free App Store hits.

Apple Arcade will add five games on October 1, headlined by Pusheen's Place, a home-decorating game based on the Pusheen web-comic cat.

Pusheen's Place is the character's first dedicated game, built by the studio Lively. Players furnish and decorate rooms, play short mini-games such as Snack Stack and Parfait Pop, and collect more than a hundred cats modeled on popular variants including Pusheenicorn and Pancake Pusheen. It arrives as an Arcade exclusive, with no separate paid or free-to-play version planned for the App Store.

The other new Arcade Original, River City Survivors, moves the long-running River City brawler franchise into the survivors-like format that Vampire Survivors made popular. Built by Arc System Works, it pits players against escalating waves of zombies with more than twenty playable fighters and up to two recruitable companions.

Three returning App Store hits fill out the month as App Store Greats, a tier stripped of ads and in-app purchases. Per Apple, Terraria+ folds in the Bigger and Boulder update with a Dead Cells crossover and shared play for up to seven friends, while Touchgrind BMX 2+ keeps its two-finger trick controls and 4 Pics 1 Word+ adapts the widely played mobile word puzzle.

Pricing does not change. Apple Arcade stays at $6.99 a month in the United States, or comes bundled into Apple One plans that start at $21.95 a month, and buyers of a new iPhone, iPad, Mac, or Apple TV still get three months at no charge.

The slate reflects two steady themes for Apple Arcade: a growing shelf of licensed properties and cozy games, alongside earlier draws such as Hello Kitty Island Adventure and Tamagotchi Adventure Kingdom, and a pitch built on removing the ads and microtransactions common to free mobile games. The two Arcade Originals run on iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple TV, and Apple Vision Pro, while the three App Store Greats are limited to iPhone, iPad, and Apple Vision Pro.
