ASUS kicked off the global launch of the Zenbook 14 (model UX3480) on October 19 and picked Europe as its first stop. ASUS leads with color: Arctic Blue and Komodo Coral, two finishes it calls new, both in Ceraluminum, a material it says pairs the durability of ceramic with the light weight of aluminum.

The company ties each shade to a place. Komodo Coral is a muted pink modeled on Indonesia's Pink Beach, where crushed red coral and the remains of microscopic foraminifera tint white sand. Arctic Blue follows winter glacier lakes, a pale frosted blue over denser tones meant to read as fractured ice.

ASUS lists three chip versions for the Zenbook 14: Intel Core Ultra Series 3, AMD Ryzen AI 300 and Snapdragon X, with NPUs rated at up to 50, 50 and 45 TOPS. ASUS puts offline video playback above 29 hours on Intel, above 30 on Snapdragon and above 33 on AMD.

The OLED panel goes up to 3K at 120 Hz with 1,100 nits peak HDR. The body starts at 1.1 kg, and the Zenbook 14 offers up to four USB-C ports, one USB-A and HDMI 2.1, plus Thunderbolt 4 on Intel models and USB4 on AMD.

Ceraluminum is not exclusive to this model. ASUS also says it is up to three times harder than conventional anodized aluminum, and its Zenbook range already has the Zenbook A in full-body Ceraluminum as its lightest model. The Zenbook 14 chassis combines Ceraluminum with aluminum, so the new colors land on the everyday model sitting alongside the Zenbook S and the dual-screen Zenbook DUO.

ASUS gave no European price or on-sale date for any version.

What ASUS did spell out is the European rollout. Cafés, bookstores, boutique hotels and curated retail spots in London, Milan, Madrid, Lisbon, Paris, Munich, Berlin, Stockholm and Amsterdam have been restyled in the two colors for limited-time visits, so visitors can touch the finishes in a place that looks like daily life instead of a retail aisle. The program extends Design You Can Feel, which ASUS previously showed at design events including London Design Festival and Milan Design Week. ASUS calls the European run the first chapter of the Zenbook 14's global launch.
