CORSAIR launched VOXARA, which it calls its first premium USB gaming condenser microphone. The hardware is CORSAIR's own, but much of the pitch rests on software from Elgato, another brand in the company's portfolio: Wave Link handles mixing, effects and noise removal.
That split shapes what a buyer is getting. Voice Focus, the tool CORSAIR says strips out background noise, room echo and reverb, lives inside Wave Link and needs no separate download, and CORSAIR credits ai|coustics as the technology behind it. The RGB lighting follows the same pattern, with effects set in Wave Link or synced across iCUE-compatible devices through iCUE Murals, which CORSAIR lists under iCUE Apps (Beta). Tobias Brinkmann, the company's senior vice president and general manager of gaming, casts the microphone as part of an effort to build connected products across the CORSAIR family.
Specification claims come from CORSAIR: a 25mm condenser capsule, 32-bit recording and a 192 kHz sample rate. The microphone connects over a braided USB-C cable to Windows and macOS, and CORSAIR lists audio support for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2, alongside Elgato Wave Link 3.0 for the software side. Xbox does not appear on that list.
On the capture side, CORSAIR argues the larger capsule records voices with more warmth and detail than standard-sized capsules, and that 32-bit recording leaves extra headroom against clipping when a voice jumps from a murmur to a shout. It lists a cardioid pickup pattern, which favors sound from directly in front of the microphone, and says an integrated shock mount and built-in pop filter are meant to blunt desk vibration, handling noise and plosives. Those claims describe what the microphone records; the announcement does not say how much of that detail survives the compression a stream or voice call applies.
CORSAIR describes on-body controls too: an OLED display showing headset volume, mic gain, balance and whether the mic is muted, a multi-function scroll wheel for adjusting them, and a tap-to-mute sensor that tells the user if they are live or silenced. A detachable aluminum stand handles desktop use, and included adapters let the microphone mount on standard boom arms.
CORSAIR says VOXARA is available immediately in black and white through its webstore and its network of authorized retailers and distributors, with a two-year warranty. The release states no price and directs pricing questions to regional PR contacts. It also leaves out frequency response, sensitivity and maximum sound pressure level, the figures that let a shopper compare a condenser microphone against rivals.
