Acer is a Taiwanese PC and device maker that announced three new Android tablets and two pairs of smart glasses at Computex on May 29, expanding its mobile lineup with augmented reality and AI voice assistant hardware.

The full lineup, detailed in Acer's official announcement, is headlined by the Iconia Duo S14: a 14.2-inch OLED tablet running Android 16 on a MediaTek Dimensity 8300 processor, with a 2,880 x 1,840 display at a 3:2 aspect ratio, 120 Hz refresh rate, and 100% DCI-P3 color accuracy. Two USB Type-C ports support DisplayPort in and out. The S14 ships in North America in September and in EMEA in Q3.

Completing the tablet trio, according to the same Acer press release, the Iconia Duo S12 is a 12.2-inch variant with the same OLED panel and a MediaTek Dimensity 7400 processor, targeted at digital illustrators and executives, with anti-glare nano texture glass added to the display. The Iconia Duo D12 steps down to a 2,400 x 1,600 LCD display with a MediaTek Helio G99 chip and 8 GB LPDDR4 RAM at a lower price. Both the S12 and D12 arrive in North America in August and in EMEA in Q3. An Active Stylus, kickstand, and detachable keyboard are available separately for all three models.

The Acer AR Vision GR0 glasses connect via a wired link to a smartphone, laptop, or tablet and project dual micro-OLED displays at 1920 x 1080 into the user's field of view, equivalent to a 172-inch screen at six meters per Acer. The device weighs 69 g, works with Android, iOS, and Windows, and starts at USD 499.99 in North America, per Acer. European pricing starts at EUR 599, with availability in Q4.

The Acer GI0 takes a wireless approach: it pairs over Bluetooth and Wi-Fi to Android or iOS devices via the Acer AspireSync app and integrates a Google Gemini-powered voice assistant for hands-free interaction, real-time image analysis, and translation. A built-in 12 MP camera handles photo capture and video recording. At 46 g (frames only), the GI0 starts at USD 299.99 in North America and EUR 399 in Europe, both in Q4.

Across the five products, Acer is betting on a 3:2 aspect ratio as a productivity differentiator for tablets and on lightweight wireless AI glasses as an everyday companion distinct from bulkier enterprise AR headsets. Whether the GI0's Google Gemini integration offers enough differentiation against Meta's Ray-Ban Smart Glasses in the same price range will be the key adoption question when both reach shelves.
